On Saturday, June 18 or Sunday, June 19 gather friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances and move forward with a 1, 5 or 10k walk or run while giving back to Project 11, a charitable organization focused on improving mental health in children through accessible resources in schools across Canada.

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!

 

Project 11 is created in honour of #11, Rick Rypien, former player of the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose. 

He often spoke of his desire to see accessible mental health education and support for kids, as he believed he would have benefitted from such a program. Rick experienced difficult mental health challenges throughout much of his life until his passing in 2011. 

Project 11 is inspired by Rick’s idea to support mental health awareness for students from an early age. It aims to help them understand that they can positively influence their mental wellness by learning skills and adopting healthy coping strategies in their lives.

Proceeds from our virtual MOVE FORWARD, GIVE BACK charitable race on the weekend of June 18 & 19 will be donated to this organization to help bring this program to more schools across Canada!
